UltrAspire at The Divide 200: Summit Cheer Stations + Pickle Pizza

The Divide 200 is an incredible challenge, taking runners through 200 miles of rugged Rocky Mountain terrain in Castle and Crowsnest Pass. This year, Rock Gear Distribution brought UltrAspire to the course to cheer on athletes and share in the experience.

We started with a booth on Thursday before the race began, where we got to meet some of the racers and challenge them to a pre-race Blottle filling contest. Friday took us up Whistler Mountain between checkpoints 2 and 3, where we cheered runners on as the sun went down and the stars (and headlamps) lit up the trail. Hiking down in the dark gave us the chance to meet even more athletes grinding their way uphill. Later in the weekend, we set up at Aid Station 9 and served up a pizza bar to bring some much-needed fuel and fun to athletes deep into their journey, with many racers opting for the pickle pizza for that extra electrolyte boost.

Being part of this event reminded us exactly why UltrAspire exists: to support athletes as they take on the toughest challenges in endurance sport. The Divide 200 athletes impressed us with their strength, resilience, and spirit. Congratulations to everyone who took part, and thank you to the volunteers and race crews who made it all possible.
